CWA Wants Apology From Senator Tester |

| Penny Nance, President and Chief Executive Officer of Concerned Women for America...the nation's largest women's organization dealing with public policy...says Montana Senator Jon Tester lied about them...and they want an apology now. CWA recently bought advertising on a number of Montana TV stations expressing concern about federal spending. Their "Spenditol" ad campaign was well received by many, but apparently not by Senator Tester. "Senator Tester apparently didn't appreciate the fact that we thought that this was a message that people in Montana would appreciate having", Nance said during an interview with YNOP Network General Manager, Roger Lonnquist. "And, so, in an effort to get back at us his campaign sent out a "hit piece", and said that we did not work to protect children against child pornography". "His direct quote is "we are against child pornography protection". It's a lie...it's absolutely a lie". Nance says CWA will not let this drop until they have received an apology from the Senator. "I have called on Senator Tester publicly to apologize because it's not just that he got something wrong, it's something that they blatantly said falsely", said Nance, "and, number two, it was an attack on the very character of our organization and our ladies will not accept that. It is wrong, and we do not appreciate it, and he needs to be a man and stand up and own the fact that he was wrong". Fifteen other national organizations have agreed with Nance and CWA, and are also calling on Senator Tester to apologize. Nance urges those interested in expressing a viewpoint to call Senator Tester and let him know how they feel.
