Mary Brown, Announcer
"I was born in Lancaster, PA, the youngest of five daughters to Charles & Lois Druckenmiller. I graduated from Mt. Union Area High School in 1985, then attended South Hills Business School in State College, PA, and became a Medical Secretary.
"After a variety of circumstances, I found myself living and working in Colorado Springs, CO, where I met my husband, Vernon, who was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at the USAF Academy. A few months later, we were married and on our way to starting a family. We have four children: Karleen, Vernon Jr., Julia Kathryn, and Wesley. We also have 3 furry kids (dogs): Dharma, Dolly Madison, & Zoe Onyx. Oh, and I can't forget Frank, my daughter's Beta fish!
"We moved to Portland, OR, so my husband could attend Portland Bible College. We then moved to Havre to plant Christian Life Center in 1998. I also work full-time as an Administrative Associate. Any time I can steal beyond that, you can find me writing poems, short stories, novels, and more recently songs. I have authored two books -- "Mothers Treasurers: A Recipe Book" and [a children's book] "Strawberries" -- and am the recipient of 21 poetry awards. In 2005 I was invited to participate in a poetic compilation, "Theatre of the Mind," Noble House of the United Kingdom, featuring 219 of the world's poets.
"Even though I work as a part-time announcer for Your Network of Praise, I am so blessed to be a part of something so fantastic! What an incredible tool this Network is in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Whether you are a young or seasoned Christian, as you follow Jesus, you will be amazed at all the wonderful opportunities that He has in store for you!
