This time of year is crucial for winter braking and they invite anyone to take part in a free brake inspection and computer scan on the ABS system. The Miles City Soup Kitchen is now serving homemade soup from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm - Monday through Friday. Anyone who is hungry, lonely, or just curious can come in for a bowl of soup. The Soup Kitchen is located at 210 S. Winchester in the VA building on 1st floor. The Soup Kitchen is a non-profit organization and if you are interested in volunteering services or donations, please call at 234-5013.

On any given night, nearly 600 U.S. Veterans will experience homelessness in Montana. At Volunteers of America-Independence Hall, 20 formerly homeless Veterans are working hard to get back on track and are seeking immediate full-time employment. With the support of Montana businesses and residents, we can work together to empower Veterans to get back on their feet. It is time we all give back. For information on how you can help a Veteran, please contact Volunteers of America at 406-259-5368. Colstrip Area Moms Organization (or CAMO), meets at First Baptist Church, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 9:15 am - 11:00 am. It is for ANY mother who has children still in the home. (not just moms of preschoolers) Child care is available onsite up to age 6; if care for older kids is needed you MUST call ahead. There is NO membership fee. This group meets as a ministry of First Baptist Church, but is non-denominational in its operation.
